Myths In Music
A Concert Inspired by Jessica Gadra's Art
Mythical stories have captivated us for centuries—shaping art, culture, and the music we continue to celebrate today.
Join us for Myths in Music: A Concert Inspired by Jessica Gadra’s Art, a unique evening of song featuring performers from the Eastman School of Music. From Schubert to Sondheim, this live concert explores the deep connections between mythical storytelling and musical composition across time and cultures.
The program is inspired by artist Jessica Gadra’s current exhibition Fact in Fantasy, which examines how mythical elements influence our understanding of truth and identity. Jessica and LCA Executive Director Maria Fortuna Dean will co-host the evening and share in a conversation about the familar legends that have given meaning and purpose to cultures around the globe and across generations.
Presented in collaboration with the Castellani Art Gallery, this evening offers a one-of-a-kind experience blending art, music, and myth.
