Summer in Lewiston means music!  Once again, the LCA has a stellar lineup of free concerts to fill your summer nights with song.  There’s something for everyone, so pack a cooler and head down to the Village---we'll meet you there!

Monday, June 24 

Maria Aurigema Band - Hennepin Park Gazebo 7-9pm

        A Lewiston favorite–don’t miss the return of this gutsy, hard-driving original blues guitarist and singer-songwriter.

 

Thursday, July 4 

Celebration in Academy Park @ 7pm

The heart of Lewiston, Academy Park, is the perfect place to gather to view the 4th of July fireworks.

The Lewiston Council on the Arts is adding to the Village’s Independence Day

celebration by presenting an evening of dance and music. 

At 7pm, the VFW Downriver Post 7487 will Present the Colors, to be followed by the National Anthem, sung by baritone Dominic Townsend.

 

We will have performances by the Greater Niagara Ballet Company and the Lewiston Rockettes from Janet Dunstan’s Dance Academy.

 

Then the band Reflector will give a full concert of all your favorites–Tom Petty, Tragically Hip, The Cure, Matchbox 20, Tears for Fears, Simple Minds, The Doors–and many, many more.

It is sure to be a wonderful evening—pack your cooler and meet us there!

This nationally touring Southern Soul band from Buffalo, NY, brings a blend of gut bucket Delta grit, Memphis soul, gospel spirit and funky rhythm and blues.

 

Saturday, July 27 --Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra

and Niagara Wine Trail's Uncork Niagara 

at Academy Park @ 7pm 

The Lewiston Council on the Arts is thrilled to announce that the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing in the Alphonso DiMino Memorial Bandshell at Academy Park in Lewiston on Saturday, July 27th, at 7pm.  This free concert is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Anthony DiMino, of DiMino’s Lewiston Tops.

Led by Agentenian conductor Fernanda Lastra, this world-class orchestra is playing a fun, family-friendly concert of favorite, familiar tunes.

 

Bring your blanket or some chairs and enjoy and evening under the summer sky with some incredible music–picnicking is encouraged!

A Midsummer Night's Tour with Shakespeare in Delaware Park

and Tom Keefer and Celtic Cross

A magical double header!  Music by Tom Keefer and Celtic Cross will "bookend" an hour-long telling of Shakespeare's classic tale of the King and Queen of the fairies, Oberon & Titania, and their sidekick in mischief, Puck, meddling with the lives of four confused lovers, and a ragtag troupe of would be actors.
