The New Upstate Express Jazz Ensemble
is a seven piece jazz group that is the core of the Lewiston Jazz Project
created by pianist composer Ron Corsaro and Lewiston
Mayor Richard Soluri.
The septet performs original and classic jazz standards, swing and modern
jazz. The group is proud to have these artists as members: Nelson Starr,
trumpet; Dave Schiavone, woodwinds; Dick Griffo, tenor sax; John Hasselback
Jr., trombone; Dave Sigfried, bass; Billy Theile, drums; and Ron Corsaro,
keyboard and director.
The following guests will be appearing through the summer of 2007: Bobby
Millitello, Mike Moser, Chris Tedesco, Tony Marillo, Don Menza, Pete
Malinverny and Jody Sanhause.
Bring a blanket and a picnic to the Hennepin Park Gazebo and relax to the
sounds of jazz.
