Recipient of Blues Beat Magazine’s prestigious “Muddy” Award, Blue Mondays comes back to the Gazebo for it’s 16th year of great music. Considered by many to be one of the best Blues venues in WNY, it attracts a faithful following of Blues lovers from all over. So pick a night, turn off the tv, pack a cooler, grab the kids, and enjoy a unique, laid back evening of FREE music... and don’t forget your dancin’ shoes.
LCA dedicates the 2010 Season of Blue Mondays to our dear friend, Jukebox Scales.
Jukebox Scales was Blues Royalty in WNY. Along with Harmonica Dean and The Blue Light Band, he opened each Blue Monday season in Lewiston for the last 15 years. The consummate performer, he could wail on his sax, sing and had the dance moves of someone 1/4 his age. He played with fellow legends like Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Muddy Waters and B.B. King. As profound is our sadness to have lost him, so too is our immense joy and privilege to have known him.
